Dublin had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Telfair County Trojans with a sharp 19-8 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in March.

Jeff Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Davis was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March.

In other pitching news, Landyn Horne looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyrese Robinson, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Lake, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Dublin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

Dublin pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Telfair County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dublin will challenge Dodge County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Telfair County, they will square off against Schley County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
