Elite is 0-3 against John Adams Academy since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Elite Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the John Adams Academy Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Elite will be strutting in after a victory while John Adams Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Elite scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They managed a 42-38 victory over Leroy Greene Academy. The victory was just what Elite needed coming off of a 76-8 loss in their prior contest.
Elite can attribute much of their success to Jeneyah Fowler, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fowler has scored all season. Rhema Armstrong was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals.
John Adams Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 59-15 loss at the hands of Fortune Early College. John Adams Academy has not had much luck with Fortune Early College recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Elite's victory ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-18. As for John Adams Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9.
Elite came up short against John Adams Academy when the teams last played on January 9th, falling 32-28. Can Elite avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
