The Millville Quakers lost against the Northwest Area Rangers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Millville fell 49-38 to Northwest Area. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Millville in their matchups with Northwest Area: they've now lost three in a row.
Millville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Larissa Evans, who scored 25 points along with three steals, and Abby Kakaley who scored eight points along with six steals. Evans scored a full 65.8% of Millville's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Karsyn Miner was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with four steals for Northwest Area. That makes it four consecutive games in which Miner has scored at least 25% of Northwest Area's points. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Hermanofski, who scored seven points along with six steals.
Millville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Northwest Area, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Millville will be home for the holidays to greet Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northwest Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
