The Wyalusing Valley Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Troy, falling 67-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wyalusing Valley in their matchups with Troy: they've now lost six in a row.
Troy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kailyn Sterling, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Giana Renzi, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Wyalusing Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Troy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Wyalusing Valley will be playing at home against Sayre at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Sayre is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses. As for Troy, they will head out on the road to take on Williamson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
