Northview is a perfect 3-0 against Washtenaw Christian Academy since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Northview will face off against Washtenaw Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Northview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Northview had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Scott on Wednesday. The Wildcats blew past the Bulldogs 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Johnny Krolak, who had six digs and four aces. Drew Longardner also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Northview was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 30 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Washtenaw Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Northview by a score of 2-1 back in April. Washtenaw Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Northview recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Washtenaw Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 23-25, 25-21.

Northview's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Washtenaw Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Northview skirted past Washtenaw Christian Academy 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
