University City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chaya Scott out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kianna LeFear, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
University City now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Maranatha Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
University City is on the road again on Monday and play against Castle Park at 12:30 p.m. on December 18th. Castle Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 945th, while University City is ranked 351st). Maranatha Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Orange Glen at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Orange Glen is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
