It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but University ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Eaton Reds 8-7. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Sydney Goetzel made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Natalie Galindo and Emma Zacheis did most of the damage at the plate: Galindo went 3-for-4 with one run and one double, while Zacheis went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
