Estancia has gone a perfect 5-0 against La Quinta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Estancia Eagles will welcome the La Quinta Aztecs at 3:15 p.m. Estancia is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Estancia proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Brentwood School 7-6.
Sawyer Atkinson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Miles Dodge, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Quinta). They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Magnolia on Tuesday. The Aztecs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 13, 2024.
Johnny Forte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Riley Rakowski, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Felix Perez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Estancia pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.3 runs. As for La Quinta, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Estancia took their victory against La Quinta when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. Will Estancia repeat their success, or does La Quinta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
