After a string of five wins, the Rialto Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 62-49 to Westview. Rialto found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up 18 fewer assists than your opponent.
When it comes to explaining why Rialto lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carrington Davis. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. Davis is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Destiny Rabino, who scored 11 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sydney Heyn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sarah Heyn was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.
Rialto's loss dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Rialto will head out on the road to challenge Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eisenhower will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Westview will take on Rancho Bernardo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Bernardo is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.5 points per game.
