Gilroy was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against North Salinas on Tuesday. The Mustangs never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Evan Passama was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Hernandez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Gilroy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Salinas only posted an OBP of .062.
