Thornton Academy extended their winning streak to nine on Tuesday, bumping them up to 11-2. They skirted past the Bonny Eagle Scots 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 28th.
Cameron Kirby looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Noah Fullerton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
