Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only First Baptist walked away with it. They blew past the Sacred Heart Indians, posting a 42-0 victory. Considering the Saints have won seven contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Jones was his usual excellent self, throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns.

The win (which was First Baptist's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games. As for Sacred Heart, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

First Baptist will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Texas Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so the Saints' offense will have their work cut out for them. Sacred Heart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
