The Triton Central Tigers waltzed into their contest Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 52-45 win over North Decatur. That's another feather in the cap for Triton Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Silas Blair was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Max Crouse was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Triton Central pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for North Decatur, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.
Triton Central will be home for the holidays to greet Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 330th, while Triton Central is ranked 104th). As for North Decatur, they will head out on the road to face off against Jac-Cen-Del at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
