West Brook was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cypress Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Cypress Springs was led to victory by Jemini Mitchell and Ayla Mcdowell. Mitchell dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Mcdowell dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mcdowell has scored at least 25% of Cypress Springs' points. Ma'riya Vincent was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Cypress Springs, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
West Brook will be playing in front of their home fans against North Shore at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Shore is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Cypress Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Cypress Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
