IC Catholic Prep has gone 7-2 against Lisle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 10:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
IC Catholic Prep will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against West Chicago last Wednesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 12-3 victory.

Evan Madrigal made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because IC Catholic Prep is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-16 otherwise. Madrigal was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sonny Zambole, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Dominick was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
IC Catholic Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Lisle extended their postseason success on Thursday against Westmont. They blew past the Sentinels 12-2. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lisle let Noah Nigro and Payton Swartzendruber run wild. Nigro got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Swartzendruber went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brenden Paige, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
IC Catholic Prep's victory bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Lisle, their win bumped their record up to 9-18-2.
IC Catholic Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Lisle in their previous matchup back in March, winning 8-3. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
