Volleyball Recap: Old Lyme Wins Going Away Against Montville

Old Lyme's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Montville Wolves as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Old Lyme won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-14.

Maya LeQuire paced Old Lyme's offense, picking up 14 kills. LeQuire got some help from Maya Desai and her nine assists. Avery Goiangos controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Old Lyme's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Montville, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Old Lyme wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Wheeler on the 20th. Montville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
