The St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings will square off against the Lakeside School Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
St. Anne-Pacelli gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over Heritage. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Cam Carino and Connor Zittrauer did most of the damage at the plate: Carino scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Zittrauer went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Carino a new career-high. Jaycob Veloz was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Lakeside School put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Westfield School 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won six games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Demetrius Hardnett made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Hardnett was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Mark Bullock, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cole Cassarino, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Lakeside School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Lakeside School pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
St. Anne-Pacelli skirted past Lakeside School 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does St. Anne-Pacelli have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeside School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
