For the second straight game, Liberty will face off against Deer Valley. The Lions will head out on the road to  challenge  the Wolverines  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Liberty is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5  runs per game  this season.
Liberty took a loss when they played away from home  on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Deer Valley  an   8-0 shutout. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.
 Colby Walters tossed a big game,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Stevie Wellens was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.  Chase Miller also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Liberty  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deer Valley struck out seven times.
 Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Deer Valley,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-9.
