Basketball Recap: St. Bonaventure Skates Past Bishop Diego with Ease

There's no place like home for St. Bonaventure, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Bishop Diego Cardinals 72-7 on Tuesday. The Seraphs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 29 points or more this season.

Sarah Cosio continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024. Laurenzie Byrd was another key player, going 6 for 8 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

St. Bonaventure smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

With the win, St. Bonaventure broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-7. As for Bishop Diego, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8.

St. Bonaventure wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-22 victory against Cate on the 10th. As for Bishop Diego, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-23 loss against Fillmore on the 9th.
