Softball Recap: Air Academy Has No Trouble Against Silver Creek + How To Watch

Air Academy won the last time they faced Silver Creek and things went their way on Friday too. The Kadets blew past the Raptors 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Kadets, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Maeleigh Hunt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Hunt was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Air Academy let Rideau Dravida and Keira Finkle run wild. Dravida went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run, while Finkle went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave Dravida a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Finkle, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Air Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Silver Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.

As of now, neither Air Academy nor the Raptors have any future games scheduled.
