The El Primero Lobos won against the Mid-Peninsula Dragons last Thursday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. El Primero strolled past Mid-Peninsula with points to spare, taking the game 59-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for El Primero.
It was another big night for JOSH CHAVEZ, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was MARCO SANDOVAL, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
El Primero's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13. As for Mid-Peninsula, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Primero won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Valley Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Mid-Peninsula, they will head out on the road to challenge East Palo Alto Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
