Josh Smith Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Arp got the W thanks in part to Josh Smith playing the best football he has all season. Smith rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 17.6 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (117.4). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.
Arp is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers takes on Winona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Dalton Walker Leads Elkhart over Arp
On Friday, Elkhart had to settle for second even though Dalton Walker put up the best numbers he has all season. Walker rushed for 260 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
Elkhart dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Walker and Elkhart will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winona at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

New Diana Gets a Boost from Johnson in 35-11 Win
New Diana picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Dejuan Johnson. Troup had no answer to Johnson as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 98 yards and a touchdown. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
New Diana's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Johnson and New Diana will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Arp at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Davis Posts Huge Game in 46-44 Defeat
Buffalo was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Cole Davis did his best to prevent it. Davis was dynamite, rushing for 150 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 195 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Buffalo is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Davis and Buffalo will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Rusk at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Davyon Mapps and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Davyon Mapps's big game helped extend New Diana's winning streak to seven on Friday. Mapps' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.
For the season, Mapps has averaged 124.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 73.29 rushing yards per game.
