Overfelt and San Jose are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. Overfelt has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Overfelt scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Yerba Buena with a sharp 52-32 win. That looming 52-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Overfelt yet this season.
Meanwhile, San Jose's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Gunderson 30-24.
Overfelt's win ended a 21-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for San Jose, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Overfelt didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against San Jose in their previous matchup on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Overfelt since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
