Alejandro Preciado made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaden Lopez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, St. Anthony sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Heritage on Thursday.

Lane was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.
Lane wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nick Galluccio, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
St. Anthony's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Jurupa Hills, their record is now 22-5.
