The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lower Lake in their matchups with Middletown: they've now lost nine in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lower Lake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tiahna Tubbs. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Tubbs is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Lower Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Middletown, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lower Lake will face off against Willits at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Willits is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Middletown on the road again on Friday and play against Kelseyville at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Kelseyville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
