New Hope-Solebury is 3-0 against the Panthers since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The New Hope-Solebury Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Quakertown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, New Hope-Solebury was the victim of a rough 60-39 loss at the hands of the Lions. New Hope-Solebury has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Quakertown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. Their rough 50-30 loss to Plymouth Whitemarsh might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Quakertown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 551st, while the Colonials are ranked 167th).
New Hope-Solebury has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Quakertown, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
New Hope-Solebury came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers when the teams last played back in January of 2023, sneaking past 49-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Hope-Solebury since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
