Modoc hadn't done well against Trinity recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Modoc Braves came out on top against the Trinity Wolves by a score of 47-35. Winning may never get old, but the Braves sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Modoc to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katie Erquiaga, who posted 11 points along with six boards and five steals. Erquiaga has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Jordyn Sandage was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Modoc was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity only racked up six assists.

Trinity lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elsie Storckman, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 19 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braelynn Nugent, who earned four points and four steals.

Modoc has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Trinity, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.

Modoc will face off against Weed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Modoc is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Weed a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Trinity, they will square off against Mt. Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity is facing Mt. Shasta at the right time seeing as Mt. Shasta is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
