While The Academy's win against Platte Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats skirted past the Broncos 10-9. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Keara Pogue and Aubree D'Ambrosio did most of the damage at the plate: Pogue went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while D'Ambrosio went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI D'Ambrosio has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Harper Scott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base.

The win got The Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Platte Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, The Academy and Platte Valley will both be playing Woodland Park the next time they take the field. The Broncos will host the Panthers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
