The El Toro Chargers posted their biggest victory since November 13, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Capistrano Valley 60-14 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-3.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead El Toro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Cubacub, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mariana Mina, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
El Toro's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Capistrano Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
El Toro will be playing in front of their home fans against Mission Viejo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Viejo is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Capistrano Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Dana Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Dana Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
