The Miami Vandals will square off against the Ray Bearcats at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Miami made easy work of Duncan and carried off a 17-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vandals in their matchups with the Wildkats: they've now won three in a row.

Tessa Roberts made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alexcia Scoggins was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Kaylynn Porto, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Ray sidestepped Hayden for a 3-1 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bearcats have posted against the Lobos since April 13, 2021.
Miami's win bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for Ray, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Miami has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ray struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Miami was able to grind out a solid win over Ray in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 14-11. Do the Vandals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
