The result was an unpleasant reminder to North Monterey County of the 48-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Leading St. Francis to victory were Maya Calfee and Nevaeh Litel. Calfee scored 17 points, while Litel scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Calfee has scored at least a third of St. Francis' points.
North Monterey County's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7. As for St. Francis, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road.
