The Highland Rams will head out to square off against the Pocatello Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Highland got the win against Rigby by a conclusive 15-1.

Nash Randall looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Highland is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-7 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cannon Eddie, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Andrew Scott was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pocatello had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by just one run.
Carson Allen tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Gentry MacRory and Quinn MacRory did most of the damage at the plate: Gentry went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Quinn went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Highland's record is now 7-8. As for Pocatello, their record now sits at 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Highland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pocatello struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Highland got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Pocatello by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
