The Needles Mustangs were the 53-38 winner over the Pahrump Valley Trojans when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Needles suffered a rough 53-31 defeat at the hands of Pahrump Valley on Friday. Needles has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Paris Coleman was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds and 7 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Heaven Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Needles' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pahrump Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Needles will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Virgin Valley at 11:30 a.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Virgin Valley is ranked 45th in Nevada, while Needles is ranked 42nd in California). As for Pahrump Valley, they will square off against Lincoln County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
