The Rocklin Thunder waltzed into their game Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Liberty Ranch by a score of 36-28. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Rocklin has scored all season.
Rocklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bianca Slone, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Slone hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameryn King, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Liberty Ranch's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendall Duryee, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Haley Smith was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Rocklin's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Liberty Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Rocklin is on the road again on Friday and play against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Lincoln is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. Liberty Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Davis at 3:30 p.m. on December 15th. Davis is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
