After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Vernon, Williamsburg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks with a sharp 12-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Williamsburg's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mid-Prairie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Williamsburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 victory against Kennedy on the 20th. As for Mid-Prairie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Newell-Fonda on the 21st.
