The Holy Redeemer Royals had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Lake-Lehman with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 53-35. The victory was just what Holy Redeemer needed coming off of a 55-30 defeat in their prior matchup.
Holy Redeemer was led to victory by Gillian Parsons and Brooke Kroptavich. Parsons scored eight points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, while Kroptavich scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Kroptavich scored 15 or more points. Lucie Racicky was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Holy Redeemer's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Lake-Lehman, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Redeemer will take on MMI Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. MMI Preparatory School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 613th, while Holy Redeemer is ranked 149th). As for Lake-Lehman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wyoming Area at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wyoming Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Saturday.
