Cornerstone Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zakara Cooper out in front who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cooper has scored at least 25% of Cornerstone Christian's points. Pamela-Joyce Allen was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Cornerstone Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Redwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Cornerstone Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Names at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Redwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Petaluma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Petaluma focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
