The TMI-Episcopal Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the St. Augustine Knights at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. TMI-Episcopal knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully St. Augustine likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, TMI-Episcopal beat St. Joseph Academy 56-48. Given TMI-Episcopal's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while St. Joseph Academy is ranked 795th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, St. Augustine came up short against San Antonio Christian back in January and fell 54-45.
TMI-Episcopal is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 20-17 record this season. As for St. Augustine, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
TMI-Episcopal beat St. Augustine 57-44 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for TMI-Episcopal since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
