Starr's Mill came out on top against Callaway on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Panthers took their matchup against the Cavaliers 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won four in a row.

Starr's Mill's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Callaway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Starr's Mill will welcome Jonesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
