After flying high against the Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy Cougars last Thursday, the Trinity Prep Crusaders came back down to earth. Trinity Prep fell 44-31 to Rio Lindo Adventist on Monday.
It was another big night for Belen Hernandez, who scored 19 points along with six steals and two blocks for Rio Lindo Adventist. Hernandez is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Chitalu Munanga was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Trinity Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Trinity Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pine Hills Adventist at 3:20 p.m. on January 24th. Pine Hills Adventist is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
