The Parkway West HOYAS had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 37-18 fall against Carver High School of Engineering & Science.
Despite the loss, Parkway West still got an impressive performance from Namira Bryant, who scored 13 points. Kemba Brown was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Parkway West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkway West will face off against Paul Robeson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, they will head out on the road to face off against Freire Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
