High Tech NC won against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter  last Wednesday with eight  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Wednesday. The Raptor blew past the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles 8-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

 Dylan Shelton made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 20 over seven innings pitched. Those  20  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Xavier Salvatore was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Those  four  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Cole Sakowski, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
High Tech NC's win was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Gompers Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Coming up, High Tech NC will square off against Bayfront Charter at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Gompers Prep Academy, they will face off against Ocean View Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
