Wellesley extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 9-6. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Brookline Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-4 back in April.

As for Brookline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games.

For Brookline's part, Thaddeus Gummow made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Gummow has launched this season.

Wellesley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Algonquin Regional on the 17th. As for Brookline, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Weston on the 16th.
