The Golden Sierra Grizzlies waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Highlands with a 38-34 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Golden Sierra also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Golden Sierra's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skyler Tory, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. Tory hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for nine straight games. Zofia Bradford was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten steals and seven rebounds.
Golden Sierra's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-12. As for Highlands, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Golden Sierra's road trip will continue as they head out to face Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Valley Christianpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Golden Sierra in California (Valley Christian is ranked 409th, while Golden Sierra is ranked 1097th). Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
