Basketball Recap: Delta Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Victory Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Delta, they should've done a better job of containing Ayren Rapp. Everything went the Delta Saints' way against the Victory Christian Vikings on Friday as the Delta Saints made off with a 48-24 victory thanks in part to Rapp, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 32 times she's played.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michelle Bacchi, who posted nine points. That's the most points Bacchi has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Violet Cantrell, who earned seven points.

The win made it two in a row for Delta and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Victory Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Delta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-14 victory against Elite on the 17th. As for Victory Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-23 loss against Aspire Alexander Twilight Secondary Academy on the 20th.
