The Helix Highlanders will face off against the Point Loma Pointers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Helix will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Helix is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mira Mesa 26-2 on Monday. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Romeo Briones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.
In other pitching news, Elsa Becher looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
