Last Saturday, Bremen ended up a good deal behind Bowdon and lost 63-48. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bremen in their matchups with Bowdon: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Coahulla Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 65-52 to Northwest Whitfield.
Chase Ward put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cullen Marti, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Bremen bumped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Coahulla Creek, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5.
Things could have been worse for Bremen, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-40 loss to Coahulla Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Coahulla Creek's Gage Voyles, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Now that Bremen knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
