The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Branch, who took down 160th ranked Fridley, 42-21.
Eji Ejiya of Spring Lake Park ran for the longest rushing play in North Suburban this season against Irondale last week. Ejiya ran for 68 yards on the play and finished with 246 on the day as his team beat the Knights.
Spring Lake Park's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Swenson threw for four yards and Justin Axelson had four yards receiving.
Irondale's Justus Canfield and Jared Brenny have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Canfield has thrown for 144 yards this season, while Brenny, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has one catch for 70 yards. Ejiya from Jeff Schlieff's team leads the league in rushing with 920 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Spring Lake Park takes on second place Chisago Lakes Area. The Panthers topped Ben Geisler's team last week, while Chisago Lakes Area defeated Benilde-St. Margaret's.
Spring Lake Park's Ejiya needs only 80 yards against the Wildcats next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
The Panthers extended the longest winning streak in North Suburban this week by beating the Knights, 32-13. The win marks sixth in a row for the Spring Lake Park.
