In what's become a running theme this season, the Shadow Hills Knights gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. Everything went their way against Xavier Prep as Shadow Hills made off with a 64-43 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Shadow Hills who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shadow Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Victoria Hyatt, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Hyatt is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hyatt, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Xavier Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emma Thomsen, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Amoree Ferrel, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Shadow Hills pushed their record up to 21-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47 points. As for Xavier Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6.
Shadow Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Poly will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 562nd, while the Knights are ranked 119th). As for Xavier Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge the Indians at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Palm Springs is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
