Stevenson is 7-1 against Everett Alvarez since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pirates will host the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Stevenson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Stevenson fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Monterey County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Condors by a score of 6-5.

Jacob Hall was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Phinn Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-7 to Rancho San Juan.
Tyler Victoriano led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Devin Pedersen, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Everett Alvarez, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.
Everett Alvarez's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stevenson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for Everett Alvarez, though, as they've only averaged .238. Will they be able to contain Stevenson's hitters?
